2024-2025 Austenasian Schism

The 2024–2025 Austenasian Schism is a political and constitutional dispute within Austenasia which resulted in the emergence of rival governments, each claiming legitimacy as the lawful continuation of the Empire of Austenasia.

The schism began in 2024 following disagreements concerning the government and leadership of Austenasia. Competing administrations subsequently emerged, each claiming authority over Austenasian institutions, symbols, and assets.

The dispute continued throughout 2024 and 2025, involving disagreements over governance, legitimacy, citizenship records, internet domains, and intellectual property. The schism culminated in the establishment of the Austenasian Interregnum on 3 June 2025, after which the government led by Lord Protector Andrew Musgrave continued to operate as the recognised Austenasian administration.
