Discordenasia

Discordenasia is an informal name used for a rival Austenasian government and political organisation established by supporters of Aggelos I Augustus following the commencement of the Austenasian Interregnum. The organisation identifies itself as the Empire of Austenasia and claims continuity with the Austenasian state and its institutions. The term "Discordenasia" originated as a nickname referring to the group's extensive use of the social platform Discord for its organisation and communications, and subsequently became an informal name for the organisation and its associated institutions.

Supporters of the organisation, known as Aggelosites, recognise Aggelos I and subsequently former Crown Prince Shiro, who had been designated as his heir prior to the interregnum, as the lawful holders of the Austenasian Crown. These claims are rejected by the Government of Austenasia, which regarded the Crown as vacant during the interregnum and recognised Andrew Musgrave, as Lord Protector and Regent, as exercising the responsibilities of the Crown until the accession of Johannes Karl I Augustus on 25 July 2026.

History

Following the beginning of the Austenasian Interregnum on 3 June 2025, Discordenasia operated principally through a Discord server, which served as a major platform for its internal organisation and communications. On 20 May 2026, the server was removed by Discord following a report submitted to the platform. Its removal disrupted the organisation's established communications infrastructure.

Following the removal of the server, the organisation continued to operate through other online platforms and a separate website, through which it has continued to present itself as the Empire of Austenasia and maintain its own institutional structure.

Discordenasia has also maintained a presence on MicroWiki. Several individuals associated with the organisation have held administrative positions on MicroWiki and have contributed to articles concerning Austenasia and related subjects.

Status and recognition

Discordenasia and the Government of Austenasia each claim continuity with the Austenasian state founded in 2008. The Government of Austenasia does not recognise Discordenasia, its Crown, or its institutions as possessing authority within Austenasia. Under the Austenasian Constitution of 2026, no rival, successor, continuation, splinter or alternative Austenasian authority is recognised as representing the Empire.

Discordenasia, in turn, disputes the legitimacy of the government headed by Johannes Karl I Augustus and Andrew Musgrave and maintains its own claim to Austenasian continuity.
