The Emperor of Austenasia is the sovereign and head of state of the Empire of Austenasia. Since the foundation of Austenasia in 2008, five individuals have reigned as monarch. Since the overthrow of Aggelos I on 3 June 2025, the monarchy has been vacant during the Austenasian Interregnum, during which Andrew Musgrave has served as Lord Protector and Regent.

Interregnum

Austenasia remained without a reigning monarch during the interregnum, with Andrew Musgrave serving as Lord Protector and Regent to the Crown. During this period, the Aggelosites maintained a rival claim to the Austenasian Crown, which was not recognised by the Government of Austenasia. The interregnum ended on 25 July 2026 with the accession of Johannes Karl I Augustus to the throne.
